The Szekler Museum of Ciuc, in partnership with the Hungarian National Museum, the Money Museum and Visitor Center and the Museum of Applied Arts from Budapest presents a large-scale exhibition.

The Gold of Principles Exhibition. The representation of the sovereigns in Transylvania brings to Miercurea Ciuc for the first time in the history of the museum, a real hord of treasures.

The exhibition presents the history of the Principality of Transylvania with a focus on the theme of representation. Starting from the representations of the principles on the 16th century’s coins, the Szekler Museum of Ciuc presents hundreds of coins, as well as various decorative weapons, machetes and jewelry of exceptional value. The rich material of the exhibition demonstrates the economic and power potential of the Principality of Transylvania in the 16th century, as well as the fashion of that period.

The opening will take place on April 16, from 17:00. The exhibition will be open until July 15, 2024.
