The exhibition of fire enamel entitled Free by Fire was opened by the Muravidék Friendship Circle Cultural Association in the Kossuth Street Gallery.
The Circle of Friends - among other activities including fine arts - has been organizing group and individual fire enamel exhibitions in the Carpathian Basin countries and further afield since 2008.
The exhibition in Miercurea Ciuc includes works by Valéria BESSENYEI, Ferenc CZIROK, Marianna CZÓBEL, Gyula ELEKES, Judit GERGELY, Paula HERNÁDI, Katalin HOLLÓSY, Kálmán KŐRÖSI PAPP, László MORVAY (1947-2004), Olívia PAPP, Gábor RÁCZ, Éva VÉGH and Péter ZSUFFA.
A Hungarian-German bilingual catalogue of the exhibition programmes up to 2015, entitled Contemporary Hungarian Fire-Dancing Art, has been published in print and online (http://muravidek.eu/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Tuzzomanc-katalogus-online-vegleges.pdf), featuring the works of 23 artists who participated in the exhibitions. The leader of the Friends of the Circle of Friends' Fire-Dancing Group is Gábor Rácz, a Budapest-based craftsman whose solo exhibition is currently on display at the House of Culture in Rimaszombat. The last group exhibition took place between 6-30 April at the Odorheiu Secuiesc House of Culture.
