Family memorial exhibition

Dénes Molnár, graphic artist, painter and cartoonist from Târgu Mures, who died 17 years ago, would have turned 70 this July. To mark the anniversary, his children, Dénes Molnár D. Molnár and Krisztina Molnár, who also pursued a career as a fine artist, are organising a family exhibition in memory of their father.

The works on display show the influence of the mature, already renowned artist Dénes Molnár on his children, who were still searching for their own style. The effect was reciprocal, however, as Dénes Molnár himself admits that he learned a lot from his children, who, after finishing their university studies in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, were able to reflect on their father's work with their new vision. The family memorial exhibition "Effect-Reaction" provides an insight into this productive, mutually stimulating and inspiring process of joint family creation.
