Nagy István's work encompasses landscape, portrait and still life. During the session, we will learn about Nagy István's career, his creative periods and, in particular, his portraits. What can we read from a portrait? Who could the portrait be about? When Nagy István painted people, he kept his portraits to the essentials, and their stillness is dramatic. We are looking for emotions, moods. What tools does a painter have, what means did Nagy István use to make his portraits not just portraits, but embodiments of fate. The sessions also include a creative activity.
