Péter Zöld, a priest from Leliceni, was one of the prominent figures of the Siculeni massacre (1764), being the organizer of the resistance.

From Dr. Miklós Endes' work "History of the land and people of the Ciuc, Gheorgheni and Casin seats (Ciuc county) until 1918", we learn that in 1742 János Zöld from Siculeni and his uncle Mihály Zöld were distinguished for their military merits. By then, János Zöld, his wife Katalin Olti, his sons András and János, as well as his uncle Mátyás Zöld, his wife Erzsébet Sillo and their sons Antal, János and István, as well as his brother György and András, were horsemen. As János Szőcs notes in his work Pater Zöld, it is somewhat confusing that Péter, born in 1727, is not mentioned, but only his parents (János Zöld and Katalin Olti) and his brothers (András and János).
