The largest part of the art collection of the Szekler Museum of Ciuc is the legacy of Imre Nagy from Jigodin, which consists of more than 6000 works of art, including the well-known oil compositions, engravings and ink drawings, as well as sketchbooks and notes by the artist. In addition to Imre Nagy, the museum also preserves works by local artists of great stature such as István Nagy, Ferenc Márton and Endre Szász.
In addition to these, the collection mainly includes works by artists with roots in Ciuc, Szeklerland and Transylvania, such as Sándor Szopos, Jenő Szervátiusz, Béla Gy. Szabó. The collection also includes works by the majority of contemporary local artists, such as László Botár, Géza Xantus, Antal Jánosi, István Csillag, Barna Fazakas, etc.
The medieval paintings and carvings in the collection are of great value, among which the wooden Mourning Christ by an unknown master and the altarpiece from Sândominic, The Coronation of Mary by an unknown master are the most representative pieces of the religious collection of the Szekler Museum of Ciuc.
