Pace of time in Ciuc

Folk snapshots of everyday life

Our ethnographic exhibition presents the peasant world of the late 19th and early 20th century, some of which can still be found today. Visitors can explore the specific living spaces of everyday life in Ciuc through objects typical of the countryside. The journey begins with the world of the distant mountain sheepfol and then leads to the workshops of carpenters, joiners and wheelwrights. Then, in a built-up carriage house, you will discover the objects of economic life.  Finally, in the cosy interior of the dwelling, the tools of women's domestic trades are shown through the coexistence of three generations.
